The painful condition of golf pros
What is golfer's elbow?
It is inflammation of the group of muscle tendons on the inner side of the elbow (Medial epicondylitis), or of the muscles that bend the wrist downwards (Flexor group).

Causes of golfer's elbow
Excessive repetitive use (overuse injury) or forceful flicking movements injure the muscle tendons where they attach to the bone. In severe cases, the tendons may tear.
Why is it called golfer's elbow?
Because it is common in people who play golf, a sport that relies heavily on sudden, repeated work by this muscle group.
What are the symptoms of golfer's elbow?
1. Pain at the bony bump on the inner side of the elbow (Medial epicondyle), which may get worse when moving the wrist
2. A tender spot may be felt over the tendons on the inner side of the elbow
3. Aching and tightness on the inner side of the elbow only, or throughout the elbow, which may spread to the wrist
4. In the early stages, swelling, redness and warmth around the elbow
5. Pain that increases when tensing the muscles around the elbow
6. In long-standing or chronic cases, weakness or wasting of the muscles around the elbow

Today we would like to introduce ways to relieve pain using modern technology.
HIGH-POWER LASER THERAPY
This is a modern pain-relief technology that is approved and very popular abroad. As well as relieving pain, it helps energise injured cells and helps restore and speed up the healing of muscles, tendons and nerves. 95% of patients feel the effects of treatment immediately.

ULTRASOUND-GUIDED DIAGNOSIS
The injured area can be examined to diagnose the condition more accurately and precisely, and images of the injured structures can be seen to support the diagnosis.

Prolotherapy Injection
Glucose is injected into the injured or inflamed muscle area to stimulate repair and speed up the body's natural healing and recovery process. The injection is guided by ultrasound, which makes it safer and more accurate and reduces the risk of hitting a nerve.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection
Concentrated platelets are prepared by centrifuge to treat chronic pain from tendon, joint and muscle conditions.
The patient's own blood is used: only the platelet portion is extracted and injected back into the area being treated.
This treatment is supported by research and has been accepted abroad for more than 10 years.
